The Next Chapter in Unlocking

Dining with Us

We have now moved under government advice in the next step of unlocking. Masks have become a personal choice rather than being law and the social distancing we have all become used to is no longer be a requirement. Whilst we cannot and wont enforce we'd prefer if people used the government QR code to check in when they arrive.

We will continue our current policy of extra cleaning and sanitising throughout the day and intend to still provide sanitising stations, to ensure that we are still doing our best to keep you safe as we transition into a period that requires individuals and business to make the choices they feel best.

You can expect the team at The Talbot to take this step with courtesy and respect for others. We will not be enforcing the use of masks to enter once we do not have to. We do, however respect your right to wear one should this make you feel more comfortable. We will not be forcing our staff to wear masks either but will respect their decision to do so should they wish and we would ask that you do too.

Well, it looks as if the wait is finally over and that the vast majority of our freedoms will soon be restored. The Talbot remains a safe environment for you, your family and friends and we really look forward to welcoming you  whether you'll be enjoying dining, drinking or sleeping.

Staying with Us

Our housekeeping will continue to keep your rooms serviced and thoroughly cleansed in between different guests so you can be assured that we are being as safe as possible. Hand sanitiser will be available on the entrance and in the lobby.

About The Talbot Inn

Your owners husband and wife Ross and Salle are thrilled to have taken over The Talbot in May 2021. Salle still actively works full time in her main job but offers constant support to The Talbot being invaluable to Ross and his manager Hannah in keeping The Talbot an amazing place to visit all year around. After what has been a huge year of uncertainty for pubs across the land we are very excited to get stuck in and give The Talbot the love and care going forward that it needs to keep it a busy, popular and friendly environment.

Rome wasn’t built in a day but with hard work and the support of the customers we will get there. After all, a pub is just a building when it doesn’t have customers in it. So, rest assured we have plenty of ideas and plans to get The Talbot back on the up and hope you will enjoy our journey with us.
