Booking Terms and Conditions

TERMS and CONDITIONS for room reservations at The Talbot, Eynsham

We are only able to take bookings when guaranteed with valid (at time of stay) credit or debit card details. We are unable to take 'provisional' bookings. During local events, our rates may increase in line with demand

 

Our terms of business are:- Unless the room is on a fully pre-paid basis, we take full payment for accommodation on arrival. ALL GUESTS Payment for rooms is on arrival. In addition, guests will be required to lodge a valid credit or debit card on arrival. This is to secure any additional costs or charges such as bar / restaurant bills and any damages, losses or thefts that may be incurred. Please take time to understand our cancellation policy below which is strictly applied in all circumstances, including adverse weather conditions and other such circumstances which are out of our control as well as yours.

 

We advise you to take out suitable personal travel insurance to cover you for any cancellation charges incurred.

We reserve the right to pre-authorise funds to the value of your reservation plus 25% using the card details provided on booking. We also reserve the right to charge 7 days in advance of your booked arrival date. You may check in between 5.00pm and 9.00pm. You must check out by 10am. If these times are unsuitable, please ask - if we can help, we will.

 

ALL LATE CHECK OUTS WILL BE CHARGED AT £15 PER HOUR or PART HOUR TO COVER ADDITIONAL STAFF COSTS

 

Please take your receipt with you upon departure. Requests for copy receipts may incur an administration fee of £5

 

CANCELLATIONS:- Should you need to cancel or amend this reservation you MUST DO SO via the channel that you booked. We are unable to accept cancellations, amendments or re[1]quests to cancel directly for any reservations made through an online travel agent. We can only make cancellations or amendments to rooms that have been booked directly with us over the phone or via the link on our own website. All requests for cancellations or amendments MUST be made via the channel that you booked. Requests for cancellations or amendments for bookings made directly with us need to be via email - We will not accept any requests for cancellations or amendments via telephone. These terms and conditions apply to all bookings unless agreed in writing by a director of the business.

 

NOTE FOR TRAVEL AGENTS:- Commission WILL NOT be paid for reservations unless confirmed in writing by a company director. Please be sure that you have booked for the correct amount of people in each room. This is essential for our insurance purpose and for planning our day. Additional guests over the amount booked for will incur an additional charge to cover the laundry costs. Please ensure that you are fully aware of our cancellation policy which is strictly enforced in all circumstances. We recommend that all guests ensure that they have adequate travel insurance to cover themselves for any and all cancellation situations.
